With AMRA’s BCP (Body Composition Profile) Scan service, you can increase capabilities of preventive healthcare and better understand your patient’s disease risk for T2 Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease, NASH and NAFLD — impacting your patient’s longevity.
View the sample report to see the five volumetric fat and muscle measurements you can provide your patients and how it delivers actionable insights.
If you are aiming to help individuals stay fit lifelong, help patients avoid disease onset, and extend your patient’s lifespan, the tools and services you use need to help you gain an in-depth, individualized and trackable view of a person’s health and fitness.
Several methods for assessing body composition, such as BMI (Body Mass Index) and DXA, are commonly used in preventative health. However, they fail to deliver personalized insights, only offer a snapshot of your patient’s health, or are limited in accuracy, precision, and disease association.
These gaps are filled by our MRI-based AMRA® BCP Scan. It provides more precise and actionable insights personalized to the patient.
Excessive muscle fat and reduced muscle volume have been associated with reduced physical function, disability, frailty, increased fracture risk, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, increased risk of hospitalization, severe illness outcome, poor overall survival, among others and is a problem not measured as completely or individually by any of the older body composition modality.
With the MRI-based BCP Scan, you can assess several fat and muscle measurements with precision and accuracy.
The AMRA® BCP Scan is a neck-to-knee MRI-based service that takes less than 10 minutes to perform. It works by integrating our validated BCP protocol into your 1.5 T or 3 T MRI scanners (GE, Siemens, Phillips). The BCP protocol is quick and easy to use without any special hardware or software.
Once a patient is scanned, images are sent via a secure transfer to AMRA for analysis using our health informatics platform. Following the MR image analysis, you receive an easy-to-interpret report containing precise body composition measurements. To add context and personalization for your patient, each individual is compared to virtual control groups with similar characteristics such as sex and BMI.
For us at AMRA, our goal is to deliver meaningful, and actionable data. This means our technology needs to be built on MRI: the superior technology platform.
MRI with BCP is more accurate and delivers more precise insights compared with BIA, DXA, and CT. What’s more, MRI is radiation-free unlike CT.
