LINKÖPING, Sweden, June 25, 2021 – AMRA researchers together with Linköping University and University of Glasgow conducted a study to investigate the association between adverse muscle composition (MC) and cardiovascular (CVD) risk within Type 2 Diabetes (T2D). Among other findings, they concluded that adverse MC is strongly associated with higher CVD incidence and that T2D with maintained muscle health was only modestly associated with higher CVD incidence as compared to controls without T2D. To find out about the results and questions watch the presentation by Jennifer Linge above.
