- AMRA states commitment to setting the global standard in body composition analysis and metabolic health assessment with expansion of US operations
- Global Management strengthened with recruitment of three senior team members
Sweden, September 20th, 2017: AMRA, the international leader in body composition analysis, today announced three significant hires to support its continued growth and the expansion of its operations into the United States. This move reinforces AMRA’s mission to establish a new global standard in body composition assessment and to confront global health challenges by enhancing the evidence base needed to predict and prevent disease.
As the new VP of Sales in North America, Jeremy Edwards will direct the overall sales and operations growth, focusing on expanding AMRA’s relationships in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. With more than 20 years of experience in the clinical development industry, Mr Edwards joins the Company after spending five years as Vice President and General Manager of the US operations for Exco InTouch, a leading digital healthcare and patient engagement organisation, where he was instrumental in both revenue and US operational growth.
In Sweden, two key individuals have also joined the AMRA team. Klas Themner, now Senior Vice President Product Development, holds over 20 years of experience in operations development and comes from EXINI Diagnostics, where he successfully launched a new cloud-based service onto the US market. Also joining AMRA’s head office is Simon Häger, now European Sales Manager. Mr Häger previously led the global digital pathology offering at SECTRA.
Tommy Johansson, Chief Executive Officer of AMRA, commented “AMRA has already made great strides in Europe and has built strong connections in the US market, so it is a natural step to further expand operations in North America. We are confident that, with a permanent base in the US, the support of our new VP of Sales, and with the two strong additions to our Swedish team, we will continue to grow and ensure greater access to the value that AMRA® Profiler Research offers.”
Mr. Edwards noted that AMRA is well positioned to redefine the industry’s understanding of body composition. “I am excited to join AMRA at this pivotal time in its growth. The company is advancing the understanding of metabolic status across a multitude of diseases and I look forward to working with our talented team, as well as our customers, as we expand the US Market.”
