MANCHESTER, UK [29 June, 2017] The 2017 UK Biobank Annual Meeting was held on Thursday, June 29th at the MANCHESTER Town Hall. UK Biobank is a prospective study following the health of 500,000 people who were aged 40-69 years during the recruitment period 2006-2010. The purpose of the Annual Meeting is to allow the public to better understand the data being collected – including genetics, imaging, activity, diet, biochemistry and linkage to health records – the ethics & governance, and how to access and use the resource. This year, AMRA Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Olof Dahlqvist Leinhard presented work AMRA has been doing in the UK Biobank health imaging study, whereby images from 100,000 subjects are being acquired and analysed.
