LINKÖPING, Sweden, May 28, 2021 – AMRA is excited to share a fresh view on what to measure in the human body in conjunction with AVROTROS (a Dutch public broadcaster). Former Olympic athlete, Gregory Sedoc, has explored the world of innovations within sports in his tv-show Sportlab Sedoc. He is answering questions on how science can help improve sports even further, by going to test centers, wind tunnels and university hospitals.
Sedoc, a 2007 European 60 meter Champion, and current TV host, travelled to Maastricht University for athletic performance testing, including an MRI at Scannexus. There he worked with the team at the Department of Human Biology.
Scannexus is a European Center of Excellence in Ultra- High-Field MRI at Maastricht. AMRA Medical, being a Scannexus and Maastricht University partner, provided a unique MRI body composition analysis via the AMRA® Researcher platform. Sedoc’s athletic body composition was presented in the program.
AMRA’s MRI analysis technology provides deeper insights into individualized body composition, fat and muscle measurements. To see what happened to Sedoc in the program and AMRA’s role, watch the episode that will air tonight on May 28th, 2021 at 22:20 CEST, and in the reruns of Sports Lab Sedoc at AVROTROS on NPO2, available in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
